LICENSING The American Ceramic Society’s National Institute of Ceramic Engineers (ACerS/NICE) writes and administers the Professional Engineering examination in ceramic engineering. The exam is offered through the Ohio State Board of Registration. ACerS/NICE participates in the National Council for Examiners in Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) as a member of NCEES’ Participating Organizations Liaison Council (POLC).
