Engineering Ceramics Division
Bridge Building Award
This award is intended to recognize individuals outside of the United States who have made outstanding contributions to the field of Engineering Ceramics. The two main criteria used in selecting the recipient are:
  • Contribution to the field of Engineering Ceramics, including expansion of the knowledge base and commercial use thereof;
  • Contribution to the visibility of the field and international advocacy.
The award can be based on either criteria or combination of both. The award consists of an award plaque, certificate, and an honorarium of $1000. Nominations must include a written statement of nominee’s qualifications and contributions. Deadline is July 15, 2006.

Award presentations will be made during the 31st International Cocoa Beach Conference & Exposition on Advanced Ceramics and Composites held in Daytona Beach, Florida, January 21-26, 2007.
