An explosion of unthought-of ceramic products and processes with the preceding 50 years has created exceptional opportunities for ceramic engineers and scientists. There is particular need for applied and production engineering, as well as scientists. Students of a recognized two or four year program of ceramic engineering or ceramic materials science are invited to apply for a grant from this fund, following successful completion of their first year by completing this application, enclosing a recommendation from the department head or advisor, and qualifying according to the following criteria, listed in order of priority. SCHOLARSHIP GRANTS ARE MADE USING THE FOLLOWING PRIORITIES: Evidence of dedication to ceramic sciences. Scholastic record Financial need Well rounded personal character Should more than one applicant be deemed equally eligible, the permanent resident of the Southwest Section (Arkansas. Kansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas & the border states of Mexico ) will be selected. Should more than one applicant remain equally eligible after the above criteria are considered, the applicants may be asked to supply additional information.
