THE AMERICAN CERAMIC SOCIETY
ANNOUNCES 2004-2005 OFFICERS
|
WESTERVILLE, OHIO — The American Ceramic Society’s (ACerS) board of directors announces the 2004-2005 officers. Their terms of office begin at the close of the Society’s 106th Annual Meeting in Indianapolis, April 18-21, 2004.
President is John E. Marra, deputy chief engineer of the Defense Programs Division of the Westinghouse Savannah River Company.
Warren W. Wolf has been elected president-elect. He is retired from Owens Corning where he served as vice president and chief scientist.
The past-president is Kathryn V. Logan. Prior to her retirement in 2002, Logan was principal research engineer in the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology.
John A. Kaniuk will serve a two-year term as treasurer. He is the president of Zircoa Inc.
John R. Hellmann Jr., The Pennsylvania State University; Marina R. Pascucci, CeraNova Corp.; and Robert F. Cook, University of Minnesota, were elected directors to serve through 2007.
The American Ceramic Society is an international association based in Westerville, Ohio, that is dedicated to the dissemination of scientific, commercial, and educational information about ceramic materials and industries. ACerS has more than 8,000 members in 80 countries.
