Object Name Vase, Flower
Description A large round ceramic(whiteare) bowl with a frog insert to hold flowers made in the Glendale line by the Weller Pottery Company of Zanesville Ohio around the 1920s. The entire top surfaces of the bowl and the frog are covered with a raised decoration embellished with a bird's nest, three yellow birds, and an overall leaf, branch, and flower background. The branchs are brown/green, the leaves are green/blue, the flowers are red/yellow, the bird's eggs are blue. Both pieces, the bowl, and the frog (13.7cm diameter, 4.5cm High) have impressed marks in block capital letters : "WELLER". Purchased at auction for $770.00 in 1999.
